That this moist and rich chocolate cake is divine is an understatement. Believe me!!!
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 ¾ cup castor sugar
2/3cup oil or butter
2/3 cup cocoa powder
1 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 ½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
3 eggs
How To Prepare
Grease two 8 inch cake tins and keep aside.
Preheat oven to 200 degree Celsius. Sift the flour, cocoa, baking soda and powder into a mixing bowl.
In another bowl, beat butter and sugar using a wooden spoon until light and fluffy. Add vanilla, water and salt to this mixture and combine well. Add the dry ingredients to this mixture and combine until well blended. This is a one bowl recipe, so you can be a little rough with the batter.
Divide batter into the 2 cake tins and bake for 20-25 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
