A quick and easy cheesy onion carrot grilled sandwich for tea time!
Ingredients
1/2 cup finely chopped onion (you can also use spring onion whites)
1/2 cup grated carrot
3 teaspoon finely chopped green chillies
1/4 cup chopped spring onion greens
2-3 teaspoon tomato sauce
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
4 tablespoon butter (room temp)
Salt to taste
6-8 slices of bread (brown bread would be a healthier option)
How To
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan and sauté the onions till they turn translucent. Add the grated carrot and green chillies and fry for 3-4 minutes. Add the spring onion greens, tomato sauce and salt and cook on low flame for a couple of minutes. Add half of the cheese and remove from fire and stir till the cheese melts into the mix. Keep aside.
Take one slice of bread, spread some of this mix on it and then top with grated cheese. Place another slice of bread on top. Now spread butter on the outer sides of these slices and grill in a sandwich toaster or on a tawa till done. If you are doing it on a tawa, then brown on low flame till done. Repeat the same process with the rest of the mix and bread slices. Serve these super cheesy onion carrot grilled sandwiches hot…
